It is hereby announced for the information of Members of the State Executive Council, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistant and Special Assistants to His Excellency, that His Excellency, Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, will meet with them on Wednesday, 2nd January, 2008 in the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba at 9.00am prompt.

By this announcement, all concerned are hereby, requested to be seated before the arrival of His Excellency, the Governor, please.

UNAUTHORISED USE OF HIS EXCELLENCY'S NAME IN PUBLIC INVITATIONS AND MEDIA PUBLICATIONS

It is hereby brought to the attention of the general public, and all concerned that His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State has observed the unauthorized use of his name by members of the public in ceremonies, invitations and media publications without due clearance from appropriate Government Establishments. This development, has not only brought embarrassment to Office of His Excellency, but has also created opportunities for detractors to mislead innocent members of the public.

Accordingly, I wish to inform you that henceforth, proper clearance/approval be obtained from the Office of the Chief of Staff, Government House before inviting His Excellency to ceremonies or placing advert on his behalf in the media.

It will be appreciated if the foregoing is brought to the attention of all concerned for their information and strict compliance, please.

PRESS RELEASE

It has been observed in recent times that the name of His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State is being used by members of the public in the print and electronic media for ceremonies without due clearance from the Office of the Governor. The implication is that His Excellency is usually not aware of the ceremonies and their organizers. These tend to create a situation of misinformation to the general public.

Accordingly, I wish to inform you that henceforth, members of the public wishing to use the name of His Excellency for occasions and ceremonies with placed advertisement in the print and electronic media are advised to seek his consent, and approval first, through the Office of the Chief of Staff, Government House, Asaba.

By this press release, the affected persons, organizations and the general public are requested to take note.
