Honourable Solomon Oritsebugbemi Arenyeka

Hon. Arenyeka Oritsegbubemi Solomon(JP) was born on the 28th  MAY, 1957, an Itsekiri by tribe from Warri North, Delta State. He holds a BA(Educ) in English from Delta State University, Abraka and has attended a lot of professional courses which include inter alia (1)  Construction Management organised by Nigeria Society of Engineers in October 2002 (2)   Repositioning Direct Labour Agency for Productivity (Private Sector Perspective) organised by Korporate Development Konsoltant Ltd. in September 2006. (3) National Workshop on Effective Use of Public Sector Finanial Regulations in Performing Accounting and Financial Functions in Government Establishment organised by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in September, 2004.

Hon. Arenyeka Oritsegbubemi Solomon(JP) has been in the service of Delta State for over 15 years in various public capacities. In 1992 he was Supervisory Councillor for Works in Warri North Local Government from 1992 - 1993. In 1996 he was elected as Chairman Warri North Local Government. In 1997 to 1999 he went into private practice to become the Managing Director of Soland International. From November 1999 to 2007 he was appointed as the Executive Director of Delta State Direct Labour Agency (DLA) in Asaba.

He has been an active member of various political bodies, viz: (1) Chairman Publicity Committee, Uduaghan Vision 2007 (2) Director of Finance PDP Campaign Organisation, Asaba (2007) (3) National Delegate representing Warri North local Government Area to three National PDP Election Convention into the (a) Election of Barnabas Gemande (b) Election of Audi Ogbe (c) Nomination of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo as PDP Presidential Candidate in 2003 (4) State Delegate to the PDP State Convention where Emmanuel OgidiI and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan where elected (5) Leader PDP WarriI North Local Government Chapter (6) Chairman Publicity Committee of the Core Group, 2003 (7) Member, Welfare Committee, IboriI Campaign Organisation, 2003.

While serving in the various offices listed earlier his contributions were aptly recognised as he won the runner up position as the Second Best Developed Local Government Council during his tenure as Chairman. He was also part of the team that won the Best Chairman award for Warri North Local Government Area, also he was part of the DLA team that constructed and commissioned a 42km network of road in Delta State.

He is happily married to the beautiful Mercy-Juan Oghomijeru and they are blessed with six children. He is a self confident and well spoken man that relates as a team player with people.
