OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF GOVERNMENT
HOUSE, GOVERNORS OFFICE, ASABA Honourable Solomon Arenyeka was appointed Chief of Staff Government House on August 20th 2007, by His Excellency, Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan. The statutory responsibilities and duties of the Chief of Staff Government House are contained in the schedule of duties of Government Establishments as released by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government. Following the desire
and determination to familiarized with staff of Government Establishments
under his supervision as well as apprised himself of the challenges and
problems of these establishments, the Chief of Staff, Government House,
Honourable Solomon Arenyeka, embarked ,on a working visit to the Liaison
Offices at Abuja and Lagos. The Chief of Staff and his team arrived Abuja on Sunday 7th October, 2007. On ground to receive him was the Special Adviser to His Excellency, Liaison Office Abuja, Barr. (Mrs.) Kate Mudiaga-Erhruh. During the two (2) day visit, he inspected the following facilities i. Delta Liaison Office In an interactive section with the staff of Delta Liaison Office Abuja, the Chief of Staff thanked them for the reception. He noted that having discussed with them and having inspected the facilities, he was better informed of the numerous challenges on ground. He expressed optimism that the present government would take the State to the next level in all ramifications. The team departed Abuja for Asaba on Tuesday 9th October.2007. Also in continuation
of his visit to the government establishments that are under his supervision,
the Chief of Staff and his team arrived Lagos on Sunday 14th October 2007
and were received by the Liaison Officer, Lagos, Mrs. A. C. Onokpise. (i) Liaison Office, premises at Karimu Ikotun Street Victoria Island, Lagos. (it) Liaison Office Guest House (iii) Governor's Lodge (iv) Delta State Property
at JIDE OKE Victoria Island During the interactive
session with the Liaison staff, the chief of Staff assured them that the
State government would positively look into the major challenges of the
office. Having successfully inspected the facilities at the Liaison Office
and the State 5. Also, between October-November,
2007 the Chief of Staff, on behalf of His Excellency, Governor of Delta
State, played host to some government agencies associations and socio-cultural
organization which paid courtesies on His Excellency (a) National Emergency
Management Agency (NEMA). This agency was received by the Chief of Staff
on the 24th of October, 2007 at 10.00a.m. The purpose of the visit

Government's support and cooperation. Responding on behalf of His Excellency,

30th of October, 2007, the Chief of staff on .behalf of His Excellency,
received the Executives of the (d) During the period under review, the Chief of Staff on 1st November, 2007 gave approval to Xerox Digital Company, Nigeria, to carry out their digital products demonstration. The exercise which took place at the Press Centre, Government House was aimed at sensitizing Government establishments on the values and functionality of Xerox Digital Products in the areas of document and information management processes. |
