The MDG Ministry was created to help the state government monitor the MDG projects in the state and also see that the aim of the MDG’s is achieved and to help actualize the Goals which are to:  

• Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger
• Achieve Universal Primary Education
• Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women 
• Reduce Child Mortality
• Improve Maternal Health
• Combat HIV-AIDS, Malaria and Other Diseases
• Ensure Environmental Sustainability
• Develop a Global Partnership for Development
