The Ministry of Information is charged with the responsibility of information dissemination and management.This Ministry handles the daily issuance of press releases containing various activities of the Delta State Ministries, Extra Ministerial Departments, and Parastatals etc. They are also in charge of the government printing press.
The Ministry also has the mandate for the printing and documentation of publications of the State Government such as gazettes and Bills. The Ministry handles the distribution of publications, as well as the production of the State Government’s annual calendar, diaries and address book.
This Ministry coordinates the activities of field Information Offices established in the twenty five local government areas of the State, to disseminate information about the State government’s plans, programmes and policies. Information Officers from the Ministry man these Divisional offices.
The Ministry also has the responsibility to plan, manage and control the official websites of the State Government.
