Ministry of Justice is charged with the responsibilities for:

• Drafting of Edicts;
• Revision of the Statute Law of the State;
• Criminal Law Policy and Civil Law Policy;
• Civil Proceedings by or against the Government;
• Criminal Proceedings;
• Administration of Justice (excluding the discharge by the Courts of their Judicial functions);
• Administration of Estates and Public Trusts;
• Initiation, Conduct and discontinuance of Criminal Proceedings;
• Law Reporting;
• Drafting of Agreements between Government and other persons or Bodies;
• Library.
