Dafe Akpedeye(SAN) was born on the16th May, 1961. He hails from Ughelli-North LGA and attended Harvard Law School, Cambridge, U.S.A. 1984-1985(Masters in Law), Nigerian Law School, Lagos, 1983-1984(Barrister at Law), University of Lagos, Akoka 1979-1983(Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Hons (2nd Class Upper Division)).

He has worked as Lecturer, University of Lagos, Akoka - Lagos 1985 - 1986, White & Case Law Firm, Avenue of Americas, New York, U.S.A 1986 - 1987, Private Law Practice Akpedeye & Co. (Legal Practitioners) 1987 - Till Date, Law Lecturer Delta State University, Oleh 1997 - Till Date and an Accredited Tutor for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators 2000 - Till Date.

He is a member Senior Advocate Of Nigeria, Chartered Arbitrator (United Kingdom), Member, Nigerian Bar Association, Fellow, Chartered Institute Of Arbitrators, Fellow, Institute Of Construction Industry Arbitrators Member, International Bar Association, Member, National Executive Committee, Nigerian Bar Association and Member, Academic Staff Union Of Nigerian Universities

He speaks English, French And Urhobo and is married with children.
