That this Honourable House calls on His Excellency, Chief James Onanefe Ibori of Delta State to direct the Commissioners of Education and Special Duties to take urgent steps to ameliorate the truamatic condition faced by students of Delta State University, Oleh law Campus that were affected by a recent fire incident by:

(1) Sending relief materials in form of cash donations to the affected students to provide succour to them after taking inventory of the losses.

(2). that the state government should as a matter of urgency and priority build new Hostel accomodation for students of the University as the only few structures are dilapidated, old and weak, this not befitting for students of higer learning as they are inherited structures.

That this Hon House condemns in unequivocal terms the barbaric act/attack, shooting and killing of four persons and
wounding of 25 indigenes of Ugborodo Community. As a result of the staying of a peaceful protest/demonstration against
Chevron/Texaco Ltd and the ill treatment of its people on 4th of February 2005 at the chevron/ Texaco Tank Farm, Esoravos, in Ugborodo Community, Warri South West LGA of Delta State.

And

That this Honourable House directs its committee on Oil and Gas to investigate the remote and immediate cause(s) leading to the protest by women, children and youths of Ugborodo community in Warri South West LGA against Chevron/Texaco at its tank Farm at Escravos and ascertain the level of human and material damages resulting there from and report back in one week
