What is
SERVICOM? SERVICOM is an
acronym for Service Compact. This is a social contract between the Delta
State government of Nigeria and its people. SERVICOM gives Deltans the
right to demand good service. Details of these rights are contained in
SERVICOM Charters which will soon be available in all State Government
Ministries, Departments and Agencies where services are provided to the
public. The charters tell Deltans what to expect and what to do if
the service fails or falls short of their
expectation. The Genesis of SERVICOM in
Delta SERVICOM which
has been in existence in all Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDA’s)
in all federal level came into existence in Delta State with the
inauguration of Delta State SERVICOM on the 30th of July, 2008
with Hon. Robert Olatilewa-Edwards Special Adviser to the State Governor
SERVICOM and Labour Relations as its head. SERVICOM Delta
is borne out of the fact that Deltans patronizing government MDA’s deserve
better services. It is in line
with the Delta State’s government three point agenda of human capital
development, infrastructural development, peace and security as it is
expected to improve service delivery which is paramount in bringing them
to fruition. SERVICOM
