OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE STATE GOVERNMENT

The Office of the Secretary to the State Government is charged with the following responsibilities:

  • Cabinet Secretariat;

  • Co-ordination of the activities of Ministries and ensuring follow-up actions in the implementation of Government decisions by Ministries / Extra-Ministerial Departments and other agencies of Government;

  • Attendance at the State Executive Council Meetings;
  • Allocation of Office and residential accommodation to Political Office holders;
  • Administrative Tribunals / Commissions of Inquiry and constitutional matters;
  • Awards of titles of honour and decorations;
  • Petitions and appeals to the Governor;
  • Relations/Liaison with the Federal Government, other States, external organizations and miscellaneous not specifically assigned elsewhere;
  • National Youths Service Corps,
  • Nigeria National Volunteer Service;
  • Relations with the following bodies:
  • Public Complaints Commission;
  • Code of Conduct Tribunal;
  • Independent National Electoral Commission;
  • State Independent Electoral Commission;
  • Code of Conduct Bureau
