Employment will remain the central theme for all our policies. Reflecting our strong conviction that deliberate government focus and action is needed to stem the tide of rising unemployment, our intervention strategy will combine time-tested and trusted quick-win schemes and long-term plans for job/wealth creation in the state.

MEANINGFUL PEACE BUILDING

The fundamentals of security and peace building are well known to our people and communities. We also know that the character and ingredients of conflicts and insecurity in the state have been significantly altered since 1999

AGRICULTURE AND INDUSTRIALISATION

Delta State has tremendous potentials in agriculture. My administration will pursue multiple strategies that will boost agricultural produce and encourage the free market for raw materials and foodstuffs

RELEVANT HEALTH AND EDUCATIONAL POLICIES

As a medical professional, health for all Deltas is paramount and dear to me. I shall consolidate the good work of the out-going Governor in this matter and advance the policies, programmes, and facilities of the health sector

TRANSFORMED ENVIRONMENT THROUGH URBAN RENEWAL

Environment sustainability is important to our state as it is to the national and global communities. In managing the environment better we must recognise and respond adequately to the varying challenges in different parts of the state.

Delta State (recognized on August 27, 1991) is an oil and agricultural producing state in Nigeria. It is situated in the region known as the South-South geo-political zone with a population of 4,112,445 (males: 2,069,309; females: 2,043,136). The capital city is Asaba, located at the northern end of the state, with an estimated area of 762 square kilometres (294 sq mi), while Warri is the economic nerve center of the state and also the most populated. It is located in the southern end of the state. The state has a total land area of 16,842 square kilometres (6,503 sq mi).
