Ras Kimono was a true music legend - Okowa

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Sunday commiserated with the Nigeria Music Industry, family and friends of reggae music exponent, Ras Kimono, who died on Sunday at the age of 60.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, Governor Okowa sent condolences to the Music industry and the Onicha Olona community in Delta State over the loss.

He described the deceased as a true music legend whose songs entertained Nigerians in the 80s.

Governor Okowa mourns former ICPC boss, Justice Akanbi

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Sunday, expressed grief over the death of pioneer Chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) Justice Mustapha Akanbi, who died at the age of 85 years.

Okowa in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, in Asaba, described the late Akanbi, Wakili of Ilorin, as an incorruptible, forthright and virtuous jurist whose rulings where hardly disputed while on the bench.

"The late Justice Akanbi would be remembered for his contributions to the fight against impunity in the country.

Okowa mourns Punch Chairman, Aboderin

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has sent his heartfelt condolences to the Aboderin family, management and staff of Punch Nigeria Limited, over the death of their Chairman, Mr Gbadebowale Aboderin, who passed away at the age of 60 on Wednesday May 30, 2018.

Okowa mourns Akumazi's monarch

Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on Monday extended his condolences to the royal family and the people of Akumazi Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area as the Obi of Akumazi, His Royal Majesty Stephen Osagie joined his ancestors.
